Surf Rescue Certificate
SRC is for those candidates who will be 13 on the day of the final assessment. It is a great way to learn more about surf awareness and a stepping stone to patrolling on the beach. The aim of the course is to provide participants with the skills and knowledge of basic patrolling and surf awareness in able to participate in lifesaving operations.
The course is 8 weeks in total with a theory session (weeknights 7pm to 9pm) with a beach session on Sundays (11am to 1pm). The 8 weeks includes a mock assessment and the final assessment. The next courses will start in October 2016. Although we welcome new members, priority is given to existing members of NBSLSC. A prerequisite timed swim (200m in 5 minutes) must be completed prior to the start of the course and must be done at one of the set swim sessions.
Next Induction: Sunday 4th September 2016 at 1pm, North Bondi Surf Life Saving Club. This will be followed by a timed swim afterwards at 2pm, Icebergs Pool
