Club Staff

Nothing would happen in a club the size of North Bondi SLSC without the work of our club staff.

Julien Palmer

General Manager

Julien Palmer is the Club’s General Manager, responsible for overseeing the successful operation of the Club and providing exceptional service to members and the community. Julien has previously been in a development and project role at SLSA, and prior to this held roles at Australian Sailing and various marketing and commercial roles. Julien has a young family and is a keen sportsman.

Debbie Holland

Office Administrator

Debbie has been around the Club for the past 40 years initially following her husband and his boat crews to carnivals every Saturday and assisting the Club whenever asked for selling raffle tickets, preparing food for functions, etc. In 2000 she became the Nipper Co-ordinator. In years following she took over from the Senior Club Registrar, assisted Youth Directors, set up Surfguard for North Bondi, attended monthly Board meetings, completed carnival entries, chaperoned March Past girls, and competed in March Past herself, continuing her volunteer journey until 2012-13 season.

In 2005 Debbie became an employee in the position of Office Administrator. This position has developed somewhat over the years from being employed to just do memberships to being a pivot for all sections of the Club.

Glenn ‘Nish’ Annear

Caretaker

Nish (Glenn) Annear is the Club’s Facilities Manager, responsible for overseeing the successful operation, service, and repair of the Club and its facilities. He manages the setup, pack up and the Audio Visual aspects of our function rooms. He assists the office crew to provide the exceptional service to members and the community. Nish has an extremely diverse background which has given him the many and varied skills required to fulfill his role. When not busy around the club, you will probably find Nish in the surf.

David Freedman

Functions & Events Manager

David Freedman, our Functions & Events Manager, is responsible for managing all of the Club’s bookings at The Clubhouse. He is responsible for interfacing and communicating with all potential clients and making sure that every  event has a successful outcome – both for the Club and its clients. David is originally from the States and has lived in Sydney since 2017. He is also the Club’s co-Vice Captain, a Patrol Captain and is heavily involved in the Education team at NBSLSC. David has a background in psychology, criminal justice, forensics, law and business operations. When he’s not working or volunteering, you will likely find him on the beach where he is always willing to lend a hand to his fellow patrollers or any member of the community.

Bec Mancini

Nippers Administrator

Bec started working at the Club in August 2021 and is responsible for the coordination of the nipper program as well as performing other administrative tasks to support the operations of the Club. Besides nippers, her other duties include office administration, communications, managing website and social media content and compiling the regular club eNewsletter. Prior to joining North Bondi, Bec worked in the financial services industry.

Duncan McGeoch

Bar Manager

Duncan is the Bar Manager for the Club, and oversees all things beverage for Club member and function events. Prior to this role Duncan was living in the US developing an innovative self-serve beverage concept for the hospitality industry. Duncan completed his Bronze Medallion in 2022 and is an active NBSLSC patrol member who loves the ocean and surfing.
