North Bondi does not accept any new registrations for the U14 Age group/SRC program. Children are required to have recent nipper experience. 

Nippers is not a learn to swim program. We strongly encourage all nippers to participate in an external professional swimming program.  Your child will be safer in the ocean and have more fun if they are a confident swimmer.

All U8 to U14 nippers must complete a pool and ocean proficiency. The pool proficiency has to be completed prior to the Nipper season commencing. 

The ocean proficiency will be conducted during the first two weeks of Nippers. Your child needs to pass both pool and ocean proficiency to be able to start the nipper season. 

U6s and U7s are not required to compete a pool or ocean proficiency.

Age Groups for 2026/27 Season:

The age group your child will be in depends on their date of birth. The 2026– 2027 age group birth date range is as follows: 

Under  6            Born between 01/10/2020 to 30/09/2021

Under 7             Born between 1/10/2019 to 30/09/2020

Under 8             Born between 1/10/2018 to 30/09/2019

Under 9             Born between 1/10/2017 to 30/09/2018

Under 10          Born between 1/10/2016 to 30/09/2017

Under 11          Born between 1/10/2015 to 30/09/2016

Under 12          Born between 1/10/2014 to 30/09/2015

Under 13          Born between 1/10/2013 to 30/09/2014

Under 14          Born between 1/10/2012 to 30/09/2013

All nippers must be in correct Age Groups and must turn 5 before they can join. There are no exceptions.
