Hello members, associates and friends. We are only a couple of weeks ago from the Christmas and New Year period which is typically a busy and exciting time for the Club.   

Holiday season patrols

As we move closer to the holiday season the beach will have more visitors, including tourists and vacationers who may not be used to swimming in the surf. There will also be inevitable beach- goer who takes the Christmas cheer too far and may end up swimming in an unsafe state.

Remember that your own safety as a patroller is a priority and you should not put yourself at risk in performing your duties. Call on your patrol buddies if you need help with rescues or any incident on the beach- and of course the professional  council lifeguards are also available to assist.  

Xmas function 

We had a truly great Club function last Sunday with a big crowd, live music, special guests and most importantly a great vibe and party atmosphere. Thanks to everyone- a big list- who made the day such a success. The raffle sales raised much needed funds for the club and we all came together as one club. Let’s try and have more events like this in the future!

Welcome new Bronzies  

We welcomed two new Bronze squads last week. Welcome to all our new patrollers. We hope you thoroughly enjoy the whole NB experience and become part of the family.

Congratulations to our competition squad  

We had a number of young athletes compete in the interbranch competition at Bulli recently and at other carnivals and events. As usual the squad did themselves and the Club proud.  

ARLF

Our planning for the construction of the ARLF (under promenade facility) continues apace. We expect construction to start around February and will update members as we get closer to the start date.

Respect for the Club

For many of us the Club is our second home. Let’s remember to treat it that way and keep it tidy and clean at all times.

Club activities

There are a range of training options for members including biathlons, surf races and training sessions. If you are new to the Club or haven’t to date participated now is a good time to get started.
